Organic Coatings Ltd. was founded in 1965 by two visionary entrepreneurs, Mr. R. K. Shah and Mr. V. D. Mehta, as a privately held company. Since its inception, the company has been on a path of steady and sustainable growth.
In 1995, Organic Coatings Ltd. became a publicly listed entity, ushering in a new era of expansion and transformation. This capital infusion enabled us to scale operations, sharpen our customer focus, and evolve into a technology-driven leader in the ink manufacturing space.
With deep-rooted expertise and a forward-looking mindset, we’ve remained true to our core strengths while actively shaping the evolution of the Indian printing industry. From the early days of letterpress printing to today’s high-speed, microchip-controlled presses, we’ve experienced and contributed to every technological leap along the way.

This unwavering focus on quality and innovation positioned us as the first Indian ink manufacturer to be certified with ISO 9001:2000 and to be awarded three Indian patents for UV inks, solvent-based varnishes, and water-based varnishes
